Rick Schultz, BA, CGA - Founder & President
Rick is a CGA who has lived in the finance & high technology world for over 10 years. He is well versed in corporate finance
especially as it relates to US & Canadian GAAP rules and in particular revenue recognition (SOP 97-2).  He has engineered and
built dozens of analytic and reporting applications for accessing financial data from Great Plains.  Rick’s extensive business
and accounting experience, coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit, brought him to found 100Watt Solutions.
Rick’s impetus for founding 100Watt was his belief that the value-add the finance function delivers to a business would be
significantly improved by streamlining and simplifying internal processes. Based on this premise, Rick developed the
industry’s first consolidation analysis tool for MS Dynamics GP called Pickax. Pickax provides answers to all the endless ad-
hoc queries raised every day in a way which is a lot easier and faster then current manual error-prone methods. The bottom
line is that greater productivity is achieved in a manner that supports confidence in the numbers while delivering greater
value to the business.
Rick is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a BA (Economics) and completed the program of studies to achieve his
Certified General Accountant designation in 2001.
